Dear,
the 2nd International Conference” The Holistic Approach to Environment”, originally scheduled for May 21 – 22, 2020, has been indefinitely postponed due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We will inform you about the new date of the conference.
Best regards,
Organizing Committee
The environment is absolutely everything that exists around us, everything that is not in us as a human being. In every moment, throughout whole human life, we take certain attitudes according to phenomena and beings in our environment, and we act in our close environment.
At the beginning of the 21st century, it became clear to all thinking people that environmental protection and sustainable development became the preconditions for the survival of our civilization as well as that the threats of destruction of the material environment go beyond the state and continental borders. There is slowly growing awareness of the necessity of considerable investment in scientific and technological research in this area. Environmental engineering becomes increasingly important in industrial production and in the application of modern materials.
Holistic approach to environment is an approach that comprehensively observes the material (nature) and the spiritual (world) of the environment. In the holistic approach to the environment the research scope is open to technical and natural sciences, which enables technical comforts of contemporary civilization, as well as humanities and social sciences that help to understand ourselves and the our social relationships.
It is extremely important to have an interdisciplinary view of the environment, because just so we can offer sustainable models of development.
The objective of the conference is to present current scientific and technological, theoretical and practical knowledge and achievements in the field of environmental protection, environmental engineering and sustainable development as well as the more intensive connection of scientists and researchers from these areas.
